Kordin Business Incubation Centre tenants showcase their companies

The tenants residing at the Kordin Business Incubation Centre (KBIC) have been invited by ME management for a networking event in January 2023. The event served for a presentation of the companies so as to facilitate potential collaborations, as well as an official meet up with ME’s top management.

The event was organised by the Business Development & Growth unit which manages the KBIC and is also hosted in the building.

Malta Enterprise CEO Kurt Farrugia remarked ‘Managing an incubation centre is not just about providing a physical space; it is providing an engaging environment for startups to develop and test their product or services. Our team at KBIC, maintains regular communication with the tenants to discuss upcoming projects and explore possible avenues for our schemes and other services to assist in their growth.’

Cain Grech Sargent, Chief Officer Business Development & Growth, explained that ‘the Business Development & Growth unit does not only manage KBIC. Our support services cater throughout a business life cycle, from early stage startups to expansion projects, and possibly exits. Through our schemes we can support the growth, diversification, internationalisation, and accessing new industrial space. It is indeed that arm within Malta Enterprise acting as the main channel of communication for locally established enterprises with a focus on SMEs, startups and scaleups, operating in various industrial verticals.’

KBIC has supported around 120 companies since its inception, over 20 years ago, ranging from manufacturing, digital enterprises, pharmaceuticals, and others.
