Malta’s startup ecosystem made a significant impact at the recent Web Summit which was held in Lisbon. The team actively participated in creating and delivering a masterclass titled ‘Malta – your next business home.’
Chief FDI Specialist Marion Zammit took center stage, explaining Malta’s thriving startup ecosystem and incentives. Meanwhile, Chief Marketing Officer Anthony David Gatt moderated the session, reflecting on Malta’s achievements in supporting startups and scaleups over the past five years. The ME delegation also included Melanie Debattista and Maria Zammit Micallef from ME’s Investment Promotion team.
This dynamic presentation was a collaborative effort, with Malta Enterpsie joining forces with agencies FinanceMalta, Tech.mt, Malta Digital Innovation Authority, and receiving strong endorsements from the accompanying delegation of entrepreneurs and consultancy firms.
The Web Summit experience was characterized by positive vibes, numerous meetings, and the establishment of valuable connections. Malta Enterprise, in collaboration with other public entities and the broader delegation, responded to queries from companies contemplating locating and expanding their operations in Malta. The interactions showcased Malta’s attractiveness as a strategic business hub and highlighted the support available for companies looking to thrive in the region.
